We are excited to welcome Dr Frank to the Skin Cancer Doctors Team. He will be the lead clinician for our Kerikeri based skin cancer services. Frank is a very experienced skin cancer doctor having previously worked as a medical officer for the Northland DHB Plastic Surgery team and has provided years of comprehensive skin cancer services within his Kerimed General Practice. Frank has now decided the time is right to move away from General Practice to focus solely on his passion of skin cancer medicine.
Frank completed his medical degree in the Netherlands in 2001 and following his graduation worked in a variety of General Practice and Emergency settings. In 2011 He moved to New Zealand with his family and has been serving the Mid and Far Noth community ever since. From 2015 Frank has been increasingly interested in the skin cancer field, undertaking his Skin Cancer training with the Skin Cancer College of Australasia. In 2018 he was awarded Accredited Skin Cancer Doctor status by the Skin Cancer College of Australasia (SCCA), demonstrating his successful completion of high-level training and confirmation of his proven skills and knowledge in the diagnosis and management of skin cancer. He has a broad range of skills for tackling some of the more complex skin cancers including skin flaps and skin grafts of the lower legs and head/neck region.
Frank is a full member of the New Zealand Skin Cancer Doctors Society and an Affiliated Provider for Southern Cross.
